Langley Minor Hockey Association was first organized in 1973 and has been the primary hockey association for children's hockey in Langley.

The primary purpose of Langley Minor Hockey is "Promoting good sportsmanship and good citizenship amongst all its members; Providing and developing amateur hockey for the benefit of all members; Organizing leagues and operating teams in inter-district competition and provincial playoffs; And promoting youth and adults to work toward common goals in closer harmony. The operations of the Society are to chiefly carried on in the Langley Municipal District in the province of British Columbia. The association shall be affiliated with and be a member in good standing of all senior bodies of organized hockey within the province of British Columbia."
